Process: I worked closely with the head of organization and others on the team about what they wanted exactly. They finally thought the best way to express their mission was the top portion of the Statue of Liberty.

Thrive Hudson River (Brochure & Ad)

Client: Jacobs, which manages operations and maintenance while also overseeing website updates and public outreach for the North Hudson Sewerage Authority (NHSA), delivering technical support, community engagement services, and ongoing program coordination.

Brief: Develop a concise tri-fold brochure that clearly outlines the Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) Long-Term Control Plan alongside a complementary Asset Management and Adaptive Design (AD) strategy, presenting key actions, timelines, and benefits in an accessible format.

Process: I reviewed NHSA’s mission to reduce CSOs and protect the Hudson River. I focused on creating a visual concept rooted in the wastewater treatment plant’s central purpose: preserving the waterway’s cleanliness, supporting a healthy ecosystem, protecting public health, and ensuring safety for local communities and surrounding habitats.

Life Line Coffee

Client: Life Line Coffee is a micro-roastery committed to offering single-origin specialty coffees, roasted precisely to highlight clean, balanced flavor profiles. It prioritizes traceability and direct relationships with producers, ensuring sustainable agricultural practices and fair trade. Its catalog includes beans for filter, espresso, and manual brewing methods, accompanied by detailed tasting notes and preparation recommendations. Ideal for consumers and professionals seeking consistent quality, supply-chain transparency, and a mindful coffee experience.

Brief: We crafted a bold, mysterious identity for a coffee brand that channels the ritual and showmanship of psychics and magicians: dark, velvety visuals punctuated by metallic accents; a tactile logo that feels like a sigil; evocative product names and tasting notes that read like secrets revealed; and packaging designed to mimic tarot, velvet stage curtains, and velvet pouches—inviting a moment of ceremony with every cup. The tone is enigmatic but grounded, balancing theatrical allure with premium craftsmanship so the brand feels both otherworldly and undeniably real, promising a sensory experience that transforms a mundane morning into a small, intentional act of wonder.

Process: Researched the stories, imagery, and rituals of oracles and seers whom people historically consulted for glimpses of the future. I examined the primitive tools, marks, and writing systems they used, considering how each element carried meaning, rhythm, and atmosphere. I then translated those visual cues into a bespoke typeface and cohesive graphic language for the brand, carefully crafting a system of symbols, textures, and layouts that evokes both the weight of ancient practice and the clarity of contemporary design. The result is a visual identity that feels at once timeless and current, mysterious yet approachable, and finely tuned to support the coffee’s personality and storytelling.
